Victor Osimhen, a transfer target for Galatasaray, has made it clear that he intends to stay in Europe despite significant interest and lucrative offers from clubs outside the continent, especially from Saudi Arabia.
Italian news source la Repubblica reports that the Napoli striker is demanding a salary of €15 million (around N27 billion in Nigerian currency) per season as he aims for a move to a top European club, with a preference for the English Premier League.
The 2023 African Footballer of the Year is expected to leave Napoli this summer.
Although his contract runs until June 2026, Osimhen is not in Antonio Conte’s plans for the 2025/2026 season.
Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Hilal has shown strong interest in the Nigerian forward and has attempted to attract him with an eye-catching offer of €40 million per season.
Despite this, Osimhen has turned down all offers from Al Hilal, choosing instead to hold out for a European move.
Al Hilal still considers Osimhen their primary transfer target and is even willing to sell players like Marcos Leonardo or Aleksandar Mitrović to make room for him.
Although the Saudi club’s interest is strong, the 26-year-old striker is focused on continuing his career in Europe, with rumors linking him to Liverpool and Galatasaray.
As the new season approaches, Osimhen is hoping to join a club that matches both his career ambitions and salary expectations, seeking a new challenge beyond Naples.
