Defensive lineman Naquan Jones has joined the Los Angeles Chargers after appearing in 12 games for the Arizona Cardinals during the 2024 season.

Jones was signed from the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad last September following a season-ending triceps injury to starting defensive tackle Justin Jones.

Before that, he played four games for Arizona in 2023, having begun his career with the Tennessee Titans, where current Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort previously served as director of player personnel.

In 2024, Jones featured in 12 of the final 13 games (missing Week 9 against the Chicago Bears), recording 27 tackles, four tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, and 3.0 sacks—two of which came in his first three appearances.

Jones’ departure is offset by the additions of pass rusher Josh Sweat and interior lineman Dalvin Tomlinson.

The Cardinals have also reinforced their front seven with linebackers Akeem Davis-Gaither and Mykal Walker.

These newcomers will complement returning defenders like L.J. Collier and Baron Browning.
