Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has officially signed with Klutch Sports Group, as announced by the agency on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Wednesday afternoon.
“Welcome Jalen Milroe to our 2025 NFL Draft Class!” the post stated.
This marks a significant milestone for Milroe, who succeeded former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young as Alabama’s quarterback in 2023 and has remained the starter since. During his two-year stint with the Crimson Tide, Milroe has been a polarizing NFL prospect, with his time in Tuscaloosa marked by both highlights and challenges.
In his first season as the full-time starter, Milroe threw for 2,834 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, leading Alabama during Nick Saban’s final year as head coach. Despite being eligible for the NFL draft after the 2023 season, Milroe opted to return for his redshirt junior season under new head coach Kalen DeBoer.
However, his passing performance in 2024 saw a decline, with slightly higher yardage (2,844 yards) but a decrease in touchdowns (16) and an increase in interceptions (11). Despite the dip in passing numbers, Milroe excelled as a dual-threat quarterback, rushing for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns, ranking second among all FBS quarterbacks in rushing scores.

Opinions on Jalen Milroe tend to vary, largely based on whether you think he can be developed into a more consistent passer. While Milroe has delivered some electrifying moments, he’s also been criticized for holding onto the ball too long and making poor decisions under pressure.
His inconsistency was on full display during two pivotal games in the 2024 season. On September 28, he dazzled against No. 2 Georgia, torching their defense for 374 yards and two touchdowns while completing over 81% of his passes. However, “Bad Milroe” emerged during Alabama’s devastating November 23 loss to Oklahoma, a game that likely ended the Crimson Tide’s College Football Playoff hopes. In that matchup, Milroe struggled mightily, throwing three interceptions and completing just 42.3% of his passes in a 24-3 defeat in Norman.
