The San Francisco 49ers announced today that they have claimed cornerback Tre Tomlinson off waivers from the Los Angeles Rams.
Tomlinson (5-9, 177) was originally selected by the Rams in the sixth round (182nd overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. Over his two-year career, he has played in 15 games, recording five tackles and eight special teams tackles. He also saw action in one postseason game with Los Angeles.
A 25-year-old from Waco, TX, Tomlinson played at Texas Christian University (2019-22), appearing in 49 games and totaling 125 tackles, 41 passes defended, five interceptions, four tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.
