On December 13, he tweeted, “Speaking less… praying more,” and when a fan asked about his recovery and whether Josh Allen would win MVP, Diggs responded that his recovery was “on schedule” and said Allen “should shorty balling fr.”
Before the trade, tension had been building between Diggs and the Bills. On March 30, after a fan tweeted that Josh Allen didn’t rely on a top-tier receiver for success, Diggs responded, “You sure?” The trade happened the next day.

He also mentioned sharing a text with Diggs, stating, “I got one back. Just thanking him for everything he did for me and always have a spot in my heart for him, always love that guy like a brother, I wish him nothing but the best… He meant a lot. You look at the statistics, numbers don’t lie.”
When asked about what he learned from Diggs, Allen praised his mentality. “The way he attacked every practice was infectious, especially to the younger guys.” As for his lasting memory of Diggs, Allen said, “The receiver that helped me become the quarterback that I am today.”

The Lions lead the NFC with a 12-1 record, and Allen is well aware that securing a win on the road won’t be easy. “It’s a really, really well-coached team and they’ve battled with a lot of injuries throughout the season on that defensive side, and you wouldn’t know by watching the film because they know their film and they attack on each and every play, and we got to be ready for them,” Allen said to reporters.
