British media have reported Watford’s strong interest in the Slovenia international, and Calciomercato have added further details.
According to the outlet, talks are progressing between Udinese and the Hornets over a permanent deal for the 27-year-old. The Serie A side are said to value Lovric at around €29m, a figure that is unlikely to deter the Championship club.
Watford are pushing to secure the midfielder quickly, which would also suit Udinese, as they stand to make a major capital gain that could boost their own transfer plans.
Lovric arrived at the Friulians on a free transfer from Swiss outfit Lugano in the summer of 2022. Since then, he has featured 108 times, contributing nine goals and 13 assists. Primarily a central midfielder, he has also demonstrated the ability to operate both in advanced and deeper roles.
