On a recent episode of his podcast, The Mayor’s Office with Sean Casey, Casey discussed Alonso’s motivation and readiness to showcase his worth in the 2025 MLB season. He remarked that Alonso’s determination stems from a sense of underappreciation, despite already solidifying his place as one of the league’s elite players. Casey stated, “I think Pete Alonso is ready to prove something in 2025. He’s motivated that he should have gotten more on his contract.
Alonso’s contract negotiations have become a major offseason storyline, with multiple teams reportedly interested in signing him. Although no agreements have been finalized, fans and analysts widely agree that Alonso deserves a lucrative, multi-million-dollar deal.
