Academy head Tom Calvert commented:
“This is a moment of great pride for the players, their families, and everyone who has supported them on their journey.

“We know the road ahead won’t be easy, but Bobby Pointon has shown that breaking into the first team is achievable with hard work and persistence.

“This group is full of talent and drive, and many already have experience with the under-19s from last season.

They’ve returned in excellent shape and have trained strongly, quickly blending in with the second-year players.

“What really stands out is their passion and gratitude for this opportunity.

“Our aim is to foster a close-knit environment where both first and second years work together, and where individuals are given the platform to grow and succeed.”
