MLB NEWS: Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds linked to All-Star slugger that hit trade block

A prominent MLB insider believes that if All-Star Josh Naylor becomes available ahead of the trade deadline, the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds would be ideal landing spots.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ 2025 season has fallen short of expectations, despite strong early performances from Corbin Carroll and Eugenio Suárez. Following a 2024 campaign with 89 wins — their best since 2017 — hopes were high for a return to contention after a World Series run two years ago. But they now sit fourth in the highly competitive NL West.

To make matters worse, newly signed ace Corbin Burnes is dealing with a significant elbow injury. If he’s unable to return to elite form soon, many around the league believe Arizona could pivot to selling ahead of the July 31 trade deadline.
