The Miami Dolphins’ recent loss to the Green Bay Packers has drawn significant criticism, with former quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick among the outspoken voices. Fitzpatrick, who once played for the Dolphins, shared his candid thoughts on the team’s struggles after the disappointing defeat.
When asked by a fan how the Dolphins could overcome their challenges, Fitzpatrick addressed the longstanding narrative about the team’s struggles in cold weather. “I understand the talk about the Dolphins and cold-weather games, and unfortunately, that narrative only grows louder after their loss to the Packers,” he said.
Fitzpatrick also pointed to a concerning trend under head coach Mike McDaniel, noting his poor record against teams with winning records. “The more troubling stat is that McDaniel is 1-14 against teams above .500 during his three seasons,” Fitzpatrick stated. While he cited a 1-14 record, the actual number is closer to 1-10.
According to Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins’ problems seem to be rooted in their mindset and approach to tough games. “This suggests they have a front-runner mentality. When faced with adversity, they lack the resilience that defines top-tier teams,” he explained.
