Reese Witherspoon And Will Ferrell Fight Over A Wedding Date And Venue just now

You’re Cordially Invited, a romantic comedy that premieres on Prime Video on January 30, 2025, defies the adage that opposites attract.

In the most recent movie for the streamer, which stars Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon, Jim (Ferrell), the father of a bride, and Margo Witherspoon, the sister of another bride, argue over the desired June 1 wedding date.
Regretfully, a resort on a secluded Carolina coast island double bookings the wedding ceremonies of Ferrell’s eager beaver single father and Witherspoon’s type-A business woman. Featuring Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer, Fortune Feimster, and Celia Weston, the R-rated movie was directed by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Neighbors). Peyton Manning also makes a brief appearance, as seen in the teaser. Stony Blyden portrays Jim’s daughter’s fiancé, while Tatro plays Margo’s sister’s fiancé.

You could attribute it to a socially anxious wedding planner (Keyla Monterroso) and further misunderstandings, but Ferrell and Witherspoon’s personalities elevate the competition for the ideal event. Margo’s sister Neve (Hagner) and Jim’s daughter Jenni (Viswanathan) are forced to join in on their relatives’ hostility, with Margo yanking a microphone from Ferrell’s hand so forcefully that she unintentionally causes a girl a black eye and Jim hogging the sunset.

Both parties from the two distinct ceremonies are compelled to share the space, which is set to the song “Cake By the Ocean” by DNCE. Jack McBrayer portrays a tense resort concierge who breaks the bad news to two bridezilla-like grownups who are deeply committed in the wedding but won’t be wearing white.

Ferrell wrestles an alligator in a previously published teaser, and in the complete video, Witherspoon vows to “go chaos monkey on his ass” over Ferrell’s Jim as they frantically whisper war over objects during a romantic dance.
