Canadian offensive lineman Alaric Jackson has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Rams worth $57 million, according to reports from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
The Windsor, Ontario native’s new deal reportedly includes $35 million in guaranteed money, more than five times his total career earnings. Over four seasons, the former undrafted free agent has earned just over $6.6 million, with $4.3 million coming last season alone.
Since joining the Rams in 2021, Jackson has appeared in 41 regular-season games, starting 35. He played a depth role in the team’s Super Bowl LVI victory but has since solidified himself as one of the NFL’s top left tackles.
Standing six-foot-seven and weighing 345 pounds, Jackson was a four-year starter at the University of Iowa, making 42 career starts at left tackle. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior, third-team recognition as a junior, and second-team honors as a sophomore but went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Jackson was also selected by the B.C. Lions in the second round of the 2021 CFL Draft, though he is unlikely to play in Canada.
