KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Chiefs front office has made a key move to address potential losses in the secondary.
Kansas City has signed former Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Kristian Fulton to a two-year, $20 million deal, including $15 million guaranteed, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 26-year-old Fulton was originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and spent four seasons there before joining the Chargers in 2024. Last season, he started 14 games and recorded one interception—off Patrick Mahomes in the play that resulted in Rashee Rice’s season-ending knee injury.
Cornerbacks Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, and Joshua Williams are all entering the final year of their rookie contracts in 2025, though McDuffie remains under team control for 2026 due to his first-round draft status.
Fulton’s addition provides depth in case Watson or Williams opt to test free agency next offseason.
Over his five-year career, Fulton has played in 57 games, making 51 starts and recording five interceptions.
Additionally, on Monday, the Chiefs reportedly reached agreements with free agents Jaylon Moore, a former San Francisco 49ers left tackle, and running back Elijah Mitchell.
