REPORT: Orlando City striker Duncan McGuire has undergone successful surgery for a labral repair in his left shoulder, the club announced Friday

Orlando City announced Friday that striker Duncan McGuire has successfully undergone surgery to repair a labrum injury in his left shoulder.

McGuire, 24, has been a vital part of Orlando’s offense over the last three seasons. Since being selected sixth overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft, the former U.S. youth international has made 88 appearances in all competitions, tallying 28 goals and 7 assists.

He is expected to return later this year, depending on how his recovery progresses. In the meantime, Orlando will lean on Designated Player Luis Muriel (6 goals, 3 assists), while Ramiro Enrique (2 goals, 1 assist) could also take on a larger role.
