Minnesota Gophers defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere III is set to join the Arizona Cardinals as their new defensive line coach, according to reports from CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, 247Sports’ Ryan Burns, and the Pioneer Press’ Andy Greder.
DeLattiboudere recently completed his second season with the Gophers and quickly climbed the coaching ranks. Originally hired in 2023 as the defensive line coach and newcomer coordinator, he was promoted to assistant head coach after just one season. Under his leadership, the Gophers’ pass rush improved, increasing from 26 sacks in 2022 to 28 in 2023.
A Minnesota alum, DeLattiboudere played five seasons for the Gophers, including four under current head coach P.J. Fleck, before graduating in 2018. During his college career, he recorded 83 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks.
Before returning to Minnesota as a coach, DeLattiboudere gained experience as a graduate assistant at Charlotte (2020) and Oregon (2021). He then spent the 2022 season as Akron’s defensive line coach before taking on the same role at Minnesota. Now, he is making the leap to the NFL with the Cardinals.
