West Ham United Continue Summer Shake-Up with Another Exit Confirmed
West Ham United have experienced a significant wave of departures this summer as they look to rebuild ahead of the upcoming season.
Among the most notable moves was the sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham Hotspur — the highest-profile exit from the London Stadium so far.
In addition, seasoned players Vladimir Coufal, Lukasz Fabianski, and Aaron Cresswell have all moved on following the expiration of their contracts.
And now, another departure has been confirmed in what is shaping up to be a defining summer for new manager Graham Potter.
Youngster Bids Farewell to the London Stadium
As West Ham gear up to take on Everton in their next pre-season clash in the 2025 Premier League Summer Series in the United States, they are still feeling the effects of recent changes.
The Hammers are coming off a 2-1 loss to Manchester United, where Jarrod Bowen found the net. El Hadji Malick Diouf started that match, alongside Niclas Fullkrug and Guido Rodriguez.
However, one notable absentee was Sean Moore, who has now officially left the club.
West Ham confirmed the 19-year-old’s departure via their official Instagram account on 27 July, announcing that Moore has signed a permanent deal with League of Ireland champions Shelbourne FC.
The club thanked the young winger for his time in East London and wished him well in the next chapter of his career.
Though Moore never featured for the senior side, he made 46 appearances for the under-21 squad during his two-year spell with the Irons. He now heads to Ireland in search of first-team football and a chance to prove himself on a bigger stage.
West Ham Urged to Step Up Transfer Activity
With the Premier League campaign fast approaching, the pressure is mounting for West Ham to accelerate their recruitment efforts.
Despite making a few signings this window, only one new arrival featured in the recent friendly against Manchester United — underlining the need for more reinforcements.
A goalkeeper and a forward remain top priorities. The club has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Callum Wilson, who is currently a free agent following his departure from Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Michael Cooper of Sheffield United is also on West Ham’s radar, with the club said to be conducting final assessments.
Following a series of exits, West Ham must act swiftly to bolster Graham Potter’s squad before the new season kicks off.
