Southampton rip the script and roll out their latest weapon — Scienza lands on the South Coast with swagger, ready to flip the game plan on its head.

Leo Scienza has brought his time at 1. FC Heidenheim to an end, sealing a permanent switch to Southampton.

The Premier League side are understood to have paid between €8–10 million for the 26-year-old Brazilian winger.

“Playing in the Bundesliga was a dream come true for me. At Heidenheim I collected so many unforgettable memories — especially my goal in the relegation playoff, which was hugely special for the club and for me personally,” Scienza reflected.

“I’m deeply thankful to my teammates, the coaches, everyone at the club, and of course the fans for everything we shared. Heidenheim will always hold a special place in my heart.”

During his spell with the German outfit, Scienza made 40 appearances, contributing nine goals and eight assists.
