THE DEAL IS DONE: AN experienced backrower, fresh off an appearance in the Premiership finals, has become the latest player to sign for Worcester Warriors.

The 31-year-old back-row forward becomes the second addition in just 24 hours and the fourth new signing this month for the club.

Rogerson joins Worcester from Leicester Tigers, where he spent the past two seasons and played a key role in helping the team reach the 2024-25 Premiership final—ultimately falling short against treble-winning Bath.

He made 28 appearances for the Tigers after arriving from London Irish, where he previously captained the side in the Premiership before the club entered administration two years ago due to financial troubles.

Worcester Warriors faced a similar fate nearly a year before Irish, with Wasps becoming the third Premiership club to fold in that period.

While London Irish are aiming to return to rugby next year, Worcester are now part of a newly formed 14-team Championship set to launch next season.

Warriors head coach Matt Everard praised Rogerson’s “exceptional experience and leadership,” stating he will “set the highest standards” and serve as a “fantastic role model for everyone at the club.”

Everard has played a key role in a major recruitment effort to prepare for the club’s return, which included Thursday’s signing of former Gloucester and Northampton winger Tom Seabrook.

Other recent arrivals at Sixways include Newcastle full-back Louis Brown, former England international Billy Twelvetrees, Uruguay international Juan Gonzalez, Leicester prop Tim Hoyt, and Exeter prop Billy Keast.

Additionally, former Wales scrum-half Lloyd Williams, Saracens prop Fraser Balmain, and Dragons fly-half Will Reed have also joined the squad.
