TRANSFER EXPLOSION: Brighton & Hove Albion’s star striker has officially sealed a staggering £96 MILLION contract

Despite recent claims from Cameroon on Thursday afternoon, currently on the verge of signing from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old midfielder, viewing him as a primary target for the remainder of the summer transfer window. Reports from CFOOT on X suggested that an agreement had already been reached between the two clubs for a deal worth around £96 million. However, these reports are believed to be inaccurate.

Journalist Nathan Salt has confirmed that while He remains a top target, no agreement currently exists between Manchester United and Brighton. Brighton, holding the midfielder under contract until 2028, are in a strong position and are said to value him at over £100 million.

Since joining the Seagulls from Lille in 2023, Baleba has made 77 appearances, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Though he is expected to leave the Amex Stadium within the next 12 months, Brighton are under no immediate pressure to sell.

Manchester United have already invested heavily this summer on players like Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, and are planning to raise further funds by offloading the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Rasmus Hojlund. Head coach Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen on adding a dynamic and powerful midfielder to his side and is pushing for a deal for Baleba.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, United are “bidding blind”, unsure of Brighton’s exact asking price. Talks have started, but Brighton have an internal valuation, and the Red Devils will need to match it to secure the transfer.

Liverpool and Manchester City are also admirers of Baleba, though neither club is expected to pursue him during this summer window. Despite Manchester United being unable to offer European football next season, the Cameroonian midfielder is reportedly keen on the move.
