USC Trojans Secure Commitments from 7-Foot Twin Sons of Former NBA All-Star
The USC Trojans men’s basketball program scored big on the recruiting trail this week, landing 7-foot twin brothers Darius and Adonis Ratliff — the sons of former NBA All-Star and 16-year veteran Theo Ratliff.
According to Rivals, the highly touted twins announced their commitments to USC on Wednesday, choosing the Trojans over Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas. Both play for Archbishop Stepinac, a powerhouse high school program based in White Plains, New York.
Darius Ratliff is ranked No. 36 nationally by Rivals, while Adonis comes in at No. 57. Their combination of size, athleticism, and skill has made them two of the most intriguing frontcourt prospects in the 2025 recruiting class.
Rivals analyst Jamie Shaw recently highlighted their performances at The Border League and USA Basketball October Minicamp. Adonis showcased strong shooting range, smooth mobility, and ball-handling for his size, though he’ll benefit from adding strength to his frame. Darius impressed with his versatility — showing touch from beyond the arc, aggressiveness on the glass, and growing confidence around the basket.
Their father, Theo Ratliff, followed a different path to the pros, having grown up in Demopolis, Alabama, before starring at the University of Wyoming. He went on to become the No. 18 overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft and led the league in blocks three times during his career.
Now, Darius and Adonis aim to carve out their own legacy at USC — taking the next step toward fulfilling their NBA ambitions while carrying forward the family name on a new stage in Los Angeles.
