He led Auburn to a 14-0 record, culminating in a BCS National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy. He also had a memorable game against Alabama, known for his comeback in the Iron Bowl. He is first player to reach 30,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards. He also holds records for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, including most in a single season and the second most overall. Additionally, he has the most games with both a passing and rushing touchdown in his career.

Eddie George won the 1995 Heisman Trophy while playing for Ohio State. He also won multiple other awards, including the Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, and Doak Walker Award. In the NFL, George was named NFL Rookie of the Year in 1996 and made the Pro Bowl four consecutive years (1997-2000). He also helped the Tennessee Titans reach Super Bowl XXXIV. As a senior in 1995, he led Ohio State to the Florida Citrus Bowl and won the Heisman Trophy. George was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 as a player, and the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.
